Being in the moment

For Mother’s day this year I decided that I wanted to spend the day with my gorgeous girl and focus entirely on her for a day.  Unfortunately too often I find myself busy with work and other distractions that I forget to be fully present and in the moment with my daughter. Its important for us to really connect with our children and be present as opposed to thinking or worrying about other things (which is easy to do!).

So how did my day go? Absolutely WONDERFUL! I went with the flow and we just laughed and played and enjoyed the glorious Autumn day.

We played with the chickens . . .

We picked some lemons . . .

We made a rainbow crown and collected some Autumn leaves . . .

Then to top it off my gorgeous husband gave me this lovely drawing on canvas of Safari & me when she was a few days old. A friend of ours David Seery is an artist and does the most amazing portraits. What a special day for me!
