Gisborne olde time craft market

Yesterday we had a stall at the Gisborne market and although it was quite frosty in the early morning as we set up it actually turned out to be a beautiful Autumn day. For those of you that don’t know Gisborne it is a 40 min drive out on the Calder fwy towards Mt Macedon. It is a gorgeous hillside village with huge old trees lining the main rd, great cafes & restaurant & has a very child friendly pub (huge play area) and just a good old country feel with lots of friendly smiles!

The market itself is huge and there are actually 2 separate markets on. The one we are at has over 220 stalls and has mainly handmade crafts, jams, woodwork, antiques, jewelery, gourmet food & heaps of kids activities. On the other side near the supermarket is more of a trash & treasure and imported type market which has about 80 stalls.

Gisborne market

We have been going now for nearly 10 months and I love  atmosphere the market has especially on a beautiful Autumn day. There is a jumping castle, pony rides, animal farm and entertainment for kids. So if your up for a nice country drive, come and visit us at the Gisborne market on the 1st Sunday of every month 9 – 3pm.

We will be at the Gisborne market on Sunday 4th October!

Oh are they running both markets all winter?
We should have come into town yesterday – but I am trying so hard not to buy anything this month and market day is way too tempting!
