Product Description

The Wishbone wooden balance bike grows with your child and teaches them how to balance and ride a bike without needing training wheels.

Designed for toddlers who want to ride but don’t yet possess the strength or understanding to pedal. For your 1 year old it starts as a 3 wheeled trike, then converts to a running balance bike as the child grows, and by 4 to 5 years old, the Wishbone frame is flipped, converting the Wishbone Bike to a very large running balance bike.

Every Wishbone Bike wooden bike has 60% post-consumer recycled plastic wheels, is made from sustainably managed woods and is bonded and finished with eco-friendly products. Wishbone Design is a New Zealand family Company with a careful eye on sustainability. The bikes are made from kiln-dried, preservative-free plantation Birch and Eucalyptus with non-toxic glues and finishes, meeting rigorous international standards for lead, Phthalates and cadmium. Packaging is recycled and Wishbone Design carbon offsets all air travel.

This is one of our best selling toys and made to last, unlike many cheaper wooden balance bikes on the market! Grab yours now for Christmas or for that upcoming birthday.

  1. The best little bike ever!

Posted by Astrid Barber on 7th Aug 2017

The Wishbone bike is a great design. It’s very easy to assemble, very solid in construction and a well considered design. I appreciate a toy that isn’t plastic and can be changed to suit as the little user grows. It was a first birthday hit and I expect it will be a favourite for years to come.

Easy to assemble and an instant favourite. Looks great and will no doubt remain popular with our kid for years.

  3. Worth the money!

I purchased this bike for my nephew. My nephew has had trikes and bikes, but they either broke or were not able to be ridden on all surfaces. He loves his new balance bike, rides it everywhere be it long grass, pavement or the park. If you can afford the extra money, it is well worth it. Service from Eco toys was great. I bought interstate and was easy and efficient.

  4. So cute!

Highly recommended product for your kid (or nephew in my case). He loves it and it’s quite safe. Also feels very durable! Thank you

  5. EXCELLENT CANT GO PaST iT!!

Must buy. Easy to assemble, 2-3 wheeler, adjustable height (great for little kids!). It’s brought so much joy and fun and learning and independence and proud moments, early safe road lessons, turns a walk to do a "job" into an adventure! Easy to get bonus mummy points! Excellent materials. Top bike quality tyres, NOT the hard plastic wheels found on cheaper models, and so is more flexible and has some suspension. Even when my 2yo hits the kerb he still keeps going after a fall! Totally loves it and after a month or two has found his natural style and I have to now run after him!’
